Wow, never thought I’d hear from someone at dish network after my ranting and various emails fired off to tech@dishnetwork.com and feedback@dishnetwork.com.
But I did…
Here it is…

Thank you for your email. We would like to apologize on behalf of the DISH Network for the way that our representatives handled your issue. It is certainly not our policy to provide anything less than the best quality customer service in our abilities.

We take our customer service seriously and strive to be the best in our industry. Our customers are very important to us and we sincerely apologize for the service, which you have received. Please understand that as a growing company, we are continuously training all of our employees and constantly evaluating our customer service. Although there is a tremendous amount of information with which our representatives are expected to cope, there is no excuse for being inconsistent or insufficient to those that have made us what we are today-our customers!

I checked the account that you indicated below. Both $14.95 shipping charges have been removed from your account. You will see the credit for the second fee on your next billing statement. I checked your return authorization for the receiver. The receiver was shipped from our warehouse on January 7, 2002 by UPS. UPS is stating that the receiver was delivered to the address on your account on January 10, 2002. The additional outlet for the receiver has been added back to your account as of January 10, 2002. You were given a credit for the additional outlet. You will see this credit on your next billing statement.
We appreciate that you have brought this to our attention so that we may address the issue with the appropriate personnel. Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies and we thank you for your feedback. Your business is greatly appreciated and we thank you for allowing us to be of assistance to you.     After our favorite programs were taken away from our viewing by the cable people, we decided to try Dish. We were very ignorant as to what we were actually receiving. We are two old people who watch the same shows on (TNT, PBS, Disc, Lifetime and Court) When we looked at the brochure we thought we actually were getting all the above, so we jumped on the opportunity to finally be happy in front of the boob tube. However, when we received our services, we discovered, much to our chagrin, that our hook up didn’t include PBS. Also, we had a box placed on our kitchen TV and then we realized that was dumb cause we both watch the same programs all the time. After a call to your rep. explaining all this, he informed us we could do away with the box upstairs and upgrade and receive PBS and local Chicago for the same $. Since we thought we could both continue to watch the same programs on either TV and we dearly missed PBS, we opted for that change. Another however, when we turned on the tv upstairs, all we can get are paid or selling programs. Then we discover the PBS we have isn’t what we were used to watching at all. We always watched the English humor programs. We were not aware that there was more than one PBS. We made a little trip to the Dish shopp in Highland, AR to speak with the person who signed us up and was told that if we disconnect the box we would be okay and could watch the same programs upstairs. Wrong again, that twit knows nothing about his service. He could only say, “you have a contract for a year” I think it was programmed into his brain. So you see, we are very disgruntled with this service and we hope you can fix it. We enjoy our programs and we miss our PBS. Thank you.

    My problem is can’t find Tech. Support in all your links..just buy,buy ,buy.
    My problem is when I press Sat button will not open dish picture..Have to get up and press Video 1 button on TV then dish picture comes on…
    Please give me info..

    I have talked to two representatives on December 29. I recieved a bill for a movie I purchased in June, and that is corret. Last night I checked my purchases and there were six or seven adult movies on my bill all with two hours times. Two of them was orderd at 5:00 a.m. I have knowone living in the house with me. I did not order those movies. Knowone else has ordered any movies.

    I consider this a big mistake. I don’t know what happend, but I would really appreciate you checking this out further to see what the problem could be.

    I have been with you service for quite sometime now and have neever ordered movies in that way. I may order once a month or twice a month, but not six or seven in one night. I would appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

    i have a problem with dish network,( i live in florida) and it seem that there is no way to contact anyone ..with the exception of the personel..wich all they can say is..:sorry ma`am but i dont know what to tell you…well i have plenty to say, is there ANYONE in this company that would care to reply to me…if not further action will be taken…

    I was a customer of Dish Network for over 3 years, and I was Very Happy with their service. I bought this computer and wanted High Speed Internet so I switched to Comcast. That was the begining of the problem. About 3 weeks after I shipped their equiptment back to them they hit my credit card with a charge of $381.64. Now when I try to call them all I can get is a phone menu. I want to express my dissatisfaction to a paid representative of that poor excuse for a company.

    my system has been interruped i also have lost my satellite so i have been calling the number for customer service and all i have been getting a recording telling me how much my bill is i cant pay my bill unless i guide my satellite back in so i can watch my programs

    I have had dishnetwork for 3 years or over and the one complaint I have is, when are they going to get some different movies on? The one’s they have we’ve seen over and over again every since we’ve had dish. Everyone I’ve talked to says the same thing. You pay money to watch TV and alot of the time we end up watching the local channels because there is nothing of interest on the dish. They have way to many shopping channels and news channels. I enjoy QVC and HSN shopping but you get a little carried away with the others. If you get up during the night and you would like to watch a good movie or something it seems like all they have on is infromercials.

    i have a dishnetwork account that was beeing payed buy autopay for a year no latefees no interruptions. my account was interrupted for 151.so i payed 40. my service has not comeback on until i pay the rest .i receiveda new bill with another month added .and my service isnt on yet.why charge me if you know my service .theres no way to speak to a peoson about the mistake i can only pay the extra bill or go to another company.

    WE just got our new billing and see you have increased the monthly rate another 3.00. You people are going to increase yourselves right out of business.We are now looking at other alternatives.

    After seeing all the above gripes…. I don’t feel so bad about mine.
    We have 4 outlets in our home. All but one has to download 2 or 3 times during the programs we are watching. This is not the download of future programs. We were told that it is not suppose to show on the screen when this happens.
    We were told service men were not to use the Direct TV wiring that was in our house, but they did.

    This is a weblog, or blog, and frankly I can’t stand Dish Network. I switched to DirectTV over a year ago, and now and switching to Comcast cable.

    Here another for Matt. If Dish offeres 4 rm hook-up with free equip and installation, Why the hell are the being charge $5.00 per month for the second box? Or better yet Why can’t you buy lower model rec’vs but paid a leasing fee…Wake call is coming!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have been installing dishs for over 9 yrs. Dish is the cheapest Yes, The best not by a long shot…Rip-off customers as well as hard working tech’s. So you must be a manager (suck ass) o by the way JD Power & Associates paid the right price anybody can be #1 this is American wake up jerk.

    Please take this advice when you call that 1-888-333-3473 Number and do get an customer rep on the phone the hell with their name and ext# get their oper ID this is the only way you can track down who the hell made the statement

    Dish Network,
    l am so sorry l ever changed from Cable to Dish, l have had nothing but problems and rude reps on the phone! Although the last time l called the rep did apologise profusly for all the problems. NOW, l still have a problem, my credit card was charged $400.00, l called and the rep said it was a mistake and they would take it off, well it wasn’t done and l am paying finance charges on this. Please do something to make this right.

    I had 2 tvs serviced on 10/29/05. On One tv when I recorded a program the sound would not record. The other tv will not hold the signal. During an hour program the signal was lost about 20 times. One tv received a new receiver and the other tv was declared ok because the signal was strong. Now on 10/31 the program I record everyday did not have sound again and the signal on the other tv cut out 8 times in 30 minutes. I NEED HELP!

    I SIGNED UP WITH DISH NETWORK IN JULY. I NEVER RECEIVED A BILLING STATEMENT AS OF 11/7/05. i CALLED NUMERUS TIMES TO REQUEST ONE AND TO GET HBO( DID NOT ORER IT) OFF, BUT THEY WONT.IN THE MEANTIME I’M GETTING CHARGED FOR IT. EACH TIME I’M CALLING, THEY DO NOT HAVE MY MAILING ADDRESS, WICH I GAVE ALREADY 5 TIMES. I MAILED A PAYMENT IN AND ACCORDING TO THE REPRESENTATIVE I WAS JUST FINE MAILING IT PRIORITY MAIL. WELL I WAS NOT AND THEY TURNED IT OFF. WHEN I ACSESSED MY ACCOUNT ON LINE, THEY DID HAD MY MAILING ADDRESS ALL ALONG. I WAS WITH DIRECTTV FOR 4 YEARS AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH DISH NETWORK. THEY SUCK!

    By this time there must be quite a few HD customers. Could you start listing a guide to HD programs in the Dish Entertainment Magazine?
    It is very difficult to go through all the HD channels to see what is on and you can only see one hour ahead so you are constantly searching. How about it?

    no one from dish network gives me a straight answer first i have asked about getting the logo network and no answer my billing comes late every month why cant it come on time? i would like an answer to getting the logo network i also said i would pay for it. the other networks have this network for there customers why dont dish? thank you looking foward to hearing back from some one on this matter Dr Rudy

    I am not a customer of dish network and they charge my debit for a bill and also haVE a 400.00 charge pending on my account. which caused my account to bounce now I have bank fees most likely my credit will be messed up because of this. all of this happend because I MADE 1payment for my brother with my card. NOW THEY ARE COMMING AFTER ME FOR A DEBT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WE DONT EVEN LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD AND IAM VERY HAPPY WITH CABLE.
